Francisca Adom-Opare
Researcher
Francisca is a doctoral researcher at the Centre of Africa Studies, School of Social and Political Science and an affiliate of the Centre for Data, Culture and Society (CDCS) at the University of Edinburgh. She served as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for the Campaign for Female Education (CAMFED) and has worked with other organisations such as the World University Service of Canada (WUSC), Accra Metropolitan Assembly, OAK Development Advisory, and American International School, in countries such as Ghana and Guinea.
Her focus has been on gender, youth, inclusion, education, teaching, entrepreneurship, agriculture, and diverse poverty alleviation initiatives. She works with the Scottish Government and consults for Densu Associates, working with institutions such as the Mastercard Foundation, ACDI/VOCA, and McGill University. She holds an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge, UK and a BSc in Development Planning from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. Francisca is passionate about inclusiveness, intersecting inequalities, data disaggregation and learning.
